ISD Engineer IV - (Release Train Engineer)

Overview
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Agile teams to establish a shared understanding of program priorities, objectives, and dependencies.

Manage and track the program-level backlog, ensuring it is adequately refined, prioritized, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

Identify and manage risks, impediments, and dependencies across agile teams and ARTs, working closely with stakeholders to mitigate issues and ensure smooth progress.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and encouraging agile teams to experiment with new practices and tools.

Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, and team members on agile principles, practices, and SAFe implementation.

Drive relentless improvement of the ARTs using performance metrics such as velocity, quality, and predictability using data-driven insights and feedback loops.

Support the adoption and implementation of SAFE across the organization, ensuring alignment with SAFE principles, guidelines, and best practices.

Promote a culture of transparency, trust, and collaboration among agile teams, fostering effective communication and information sharing.

Act as the next level escalation for obstacles reported by Development Teams and strive to empower teams to remove impediments.

Works with the Program Team to resolve or escalate risks and issues and ensures collaboration.

Own escalated impediments and raise issues to leadership in a timely manner
Continuously work with teams to deliver PI Objectives
Own the Agile Release Train's Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) or Risks, Owned, Accepted, Mitigated (ROAM) logs
Manage dependencies between Development Teams within and across Programs or Agile Release Trains
Partner with others to identify and address staffing and tool needs
Enable and coach teams to define capacity for PI Planning
Develop and serve as the owner of the program release communication plan; schedule and facilitate program release planning activities
Build and maintain relationships with lines of business, teams, management, and key stakeholders
Support the Communities of Practice as needed
Help bring the Agile community to Navy Federal
Assist with developing and delivering training and workshops as requested
Become an influential leader within for the team and promote Agility across Navy Federal
Encourage teams to embrace a Lean/Agile Mindset
Help resolve team conflicts when needed
