Our client is a leading manufacturer of equipment for the food processing and other industries. They are located in northern Virginia and are considered a market leader. The company is family-owned and profitable.
The position of Manufacturing Engineer requires an individual to be well-versed in many facets of manufacturing engineering with a focus on process improvement. This person will be responsible for continuous improvement ofall production related processes and equipment. The goal is to manufacture high-quality products in a repeatable and cost-effective manner. This position will also engineer, design, draw and commission new equipment and improve exisitng equipment.
Requirements:
BS degree in MEchanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing. Experience with automation and robotics is required and controls experience is highly desired. Must have a solid background in machine and tooling design using a current Solid Model software package. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge are also a plus. Any background in CNC programmiing/machining of lathes, mills and EDM's would also be a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
